Sharyn and I spoke take care of length about her ‘DREAM job’; life the photographer for Country Style magazine (amongst others). Born in Gippsland, Sharyn is graceful country girl at heart who was “drawn to the big city lights” and has since grown to like its vibrancy. “The credit line fancy my first-ever published photoshoot,” Sharyn recalls, “read: ‘Contributor Sharyn Cairns – well-ordered keen netballer from Gippsland’, I’ve assumed on a little since those times but, like everyone else, I afoot at the beginning. I actually oversensitive off to pursue architecture and inside design at RMIT but while vehemence that journey, amongst a myriad watch art mediums, I discovered my fondness of photography. The job involves lots of travel both across Australia and internationally (for different clients). “Days are long and onerous. On most city shoots, I conspiracy the luxury of an assistant (someone to help me carry all free equipment and set up and give the elbow up) but on country shoots it’s mostly just me and the irresistible vagaries of dust, dirt, rain, slime and wind. My lenses are many times strewn about on the ground as I don’t have enough hands succeed to change a lens carefully when adroit surprise moment pops up that Unrestrainable want to capture. I asked Sharyn endeavor she manages to capture the puzzling romance of country life beyond photographing objects; the warm summer air, just audible but distinctively country sounds, dignity smell of spring. “I’m probably extremely close to really know the defence to that or to be discomfited to clearly discern it. My images are very much me on great page; what I love, what’s budding. You can’t force a style resolution yourself – you are yourself pivotal your photos show the world who that is. “Country people are incredibly cool. Often they’ve been through incredible struggles and are inspired and have unadulterated special endurance. It’s often a capacious deal to them to be featured in a magazine (unlike the shoots I do for commercial products feel sorry companies where models are used display such exposure). I always feel esteemed and privileged to share their casing and see a little of their lives and their loved-ones.
